Divine Chocolate Cake |
Butter 250 gm
Coffee powder 1 tbsp
Water 1 ½ cups
Caster sugar 440 gm
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Dark chocolate, chopped 200 gm
Eggs 2
Flour 2 ½ cups
Baking powder 1 tbsp
Cocoa powder ¼ cup
Cream 1/3 cup
Maltesers or any chocolate to decorate
Method
Heat butter coffee powder, water, sugar, 100 gm of dark chocolate, and stir till smooth, let cool then add vanilla essence, stir in eggs and flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, pour batter in a greased and lined pan and let bake for an hour and a half or till done at 150 degrees C. Let cool.
Combine cream, 100 gm of remaining dark chocolate let melt and stir till smooth, cover and refrigerate till thick ganache is formed. Spread all over the top of the cake and decorate with chocolate, Maltesers or any other chocolate.
