Energizing effects of wild coffee were discovered in Ethiopia and its early use was found in Yemen in middle of 15th century. Once ripened, coffee berries are picked, processed and roasted to varying degree depending on the desired flavor before being ground and brewed to create coffee.

Two most commonly known types are coffea Arabica and coffea Robusta.
