Greek Fruit Salad

Ingredients
Greek yogurt 16 Oz (vanilla,honey flavored)
Fruit cocktail  1 cup
grapes  half cup
orange 1 cup Pineapple 1 cup
Bananas 1 cup
Cherries a few
Leeches half cup
Mangoes half cup
strawberries half cup
Sugar or honey 4 to 4 tablespoon
Almond extracts half tsp 
Mint leaves for decoration or walnut

Directions

Whip the yogurt with sugar or honey and almond extract. Mix with fruits and stir well to coat fruits thoroughly. Serve with mint sprigs.

Ingredients
grapes (angoor)  (25-30) seedless
date (khajoor) 250 grams seedless ( chopped )
red chili powder 1 teaspoon
roasted cumin powder 1/2  teaspoon
raisins 1-1/2 tablespoons
salt to taste
grated jaggery  1/4 cup





Method
cook the dates and grapes in a deep non-stick pan with 3 tablespoons of water on medium heat till the grapes are completely  soft and mashed.add red chili powder, cumin powder,raisins and cook for 5 minute.add the salt and jaggery and mix well.cook,stirring continuously, till the jaggery is completely dissolved and well blended.serve at room temperature.

Ingredients:

unsalted butter  8 tablespoon
brown sugar   8 tablespoon 
ripe bananas   5 (peeled & cut into slices)
cinnamon    1/2 teaspoon 
fresh orange juice   4 tablespoon 
salt   one pinch
vanilla ice cream   3 cup



 Method:

in a pan heat butter,add brown sugar,Prepare caramel for the foster by cooking together butter and brown sugar.then add banana slices in the caramel,  Saute just 2-3 minutes, then mix with cinnamon,salt and orange juice.In a serving bowl, put vanilla ice cream and pour the prepared banana sauce over it. Delicious banana foster is ready to serve.

Lemon:
Lemon contains limonene and vitamin C which help to prevent cancer. Citrus fruits are useful for your skin, bones and heart. 
Citruses are great eyesight defenders and mood enhancers.

Fig:
Fig contains the vitamin B6, which is responsible for serotonyne-hormone of pleasure; it decreases the amount of cholesterol.
Dried figs contains 250mg of calcium per 100g.eat dried figs as a healthy energy snack, stuff them with nuts and a little honey.

Raisins:
Raisins are the main resource of iron which helps to transmit the oxygen to tissues. Raisins are good for bone density and associated with lower risk of osteoporosis in women.
Raisins are good source of fiber and can help cure constipation.

Cranberries:
A cranberry helps to combat the infections in the urinary bladder. Proanthocyanidin compounds in cranberry exhibit some anti-carcinogenic activity, quinic acid in cranberry helps to prevent the development of kidney stones.
Regular cranberry juice consumption for months can kill the H.pylori bacteria, which can cause stomach cancer and ulcers. Drinking cranberry juice daily reduces levels of LDL, and bad cholesterol.

One cup of avocado provides 23% value of  recommended daily  allowance and  are good for pregnant women since the high folate content in them helps in the development of brain and other tissues of the baby.  The B6 vitamin in avocado may help in reducing nausea that is associated with pregnancy. Low folate levels, early in pregnancy are linked to neural tube disorders and spina bifida.

Watermelon

Water melon:
           Water melons are low in calories but rich in vitamin A, B and C, juicy and nutritious. Water melon contains lycopene which helps boost the immune system. They have best antioxidants and good for cardiovascular diseases, colon cancer and diabetes. They contain no fat or cholesterol, they fill you up fast because it contains 92% water content, after eating 3-4 slices you feel filled and won’t be carving for more carbohydrates. Water melon can be used with barbeque and prevent you from overeating.


         Choose water melon which is symmetrical and firm, free from cuts and bruises, yellow area on watermelon surface indicates that water melon was on the ground while ripening under the sun and is sweet and juicy,slap it and if it sounds hollow then it is ripened.
 Water melon (citrullus lanatus), belongs to cucurbitaceae family. Butter nut, pumpkin, sweet melon, cucumber are some of the members of the same family.



Watermelon lemonade recipe



Ingredients
1(12-pound) watermelon (preferably seedless).
4 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup sugar
16 cups ice cubes  
Garnish:
Fresh mint leaves and lemon slices
Preparation
Cut watermelon flesh into 3-inch pieces; remove seeds if there is any.
Make puree of water melon flesh in a blender with lemon juice, sugar, ice cubes and salt as per taste. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl and discard solids. Serve over ice.
If juice extracted many hours before, drink will separate in layers, re-blend before serving.
