Yoghurt Karhi



karhi with rice
Ingredients:

Yogurt: 500 gms (beaten)
Garlic paste: 1 teaspoon
ginger paste: 1 teaspoon
Coconut milk powder: 2 tablespoon
Salt: 1-½ teaspoon
Gram flour: 3 – 4 tablespoon
Turmeric: ½ teaspoon

Grind together:

Coriander leaves: 4 tablespoon
Green chilies: 8 – 10
Yoghurt Karhi

For baghar:

Onion: 1 (chopped )
Lady finger: 1 cup(Lady finger whole, top & tail removed & deep fried)
Whole Red Chilies: 6
White cumin whole: 1 teaspoon
Oil: ¼ cup
Curry leaves: 15


Method:

Grind together coriander & green chilies to a fine paste.
Beat yogurt and add in gram flour mix well, add 4 cups of water, with grinded green masala, salt, garlic paste and ginger paste,add turmeric powder and coconut milk powder, mix all well and strain mixture through a fine sieve. Now put mixture in a pan and cook on medium flame, stirring till boiling. Cook for 20 minutes, till thick. Then give baghar.then lastly adds in fried lady finger. Serve with rice.

Method for baghar:

Heat oil, add chopped onion when golden brown, Add garlic and curry leaves, fry. Add the rest and add to karhi. garnish with green coriander.
